Armen Round Neck Jumper - Green Chive
Description
The Armen green chive crew-neck sweater is made in our workshop in France from a yarn developed by the British spinning mill Z. Hinchliffe & Sons. Composed of 75% Super Geelong lambswool and 25% angora, it features a lightweight knit that retains heat while offering remarkable softness—so soft, in fact, that it can be worn directly against the skin.
Knitted on a size 8 needle using a full-circle knitting machine, the sweater is seamless. Only the collar is sewn by hand during assembly. This technique creates a smooth, rounded drape with no visible seams between the shoulders, sleeves, back, and front. The result is a particularly clean silhouette and finishes of great precision.
The washing and fulling processes required numerous trials to achieve the desired texture, volume, and softness. After multiple adjustments to the knitting, washing, and fulling processes, we succeeded in finding the right balance between flexibility, structure, and durability, resulting in a sweater designed to last for many years of wear.
The unique “chive green” color is a shade we haven’t found in any other yarn manufacturer’s collection. It highlights the richness of Geelongora and its subtle heathered effects. A crew-neck sweater made in France, crafted with the expertise of Nitto Knitwear.
