Description
The khaki Armen crew-neck sweater is crafted in our workshop in France using Geelongora yarn, developed by the British spinning mill Z. Hinchliffe & Sons. Made from 75% Super Geelong lambswool and 25% angora, it features a lightweight, warm, and exceptionally soft knit that can be worn directly against the skin.
Knitted seamlessly on a circular machine at gauge 8, the sweater is knitted in one piece. Only the collar is sewn by hand during assembly. This manufacturing method creates a smooth, rounded drape with no visible seams between the shoulders, sleeves, back, and front, resulting in a particularly clean silhouette.
To achieve this balance, the knitting, washing, and fulling processes required numerous trials. These adjustments ensure the desired texture, volume, and softness, while also giving the garment excellent structure and durability.
The khaki color, with its soft, natural tones, highlights the richness of the Geelongora yarn and its light, downy texture. A crew-neck sweater made in France, in the same workshop since 1972, where the craftsmanship has been passed down through three generations of knitters.
