Description
The Armen Silver crew-neck sweater is made in our workshop in France using Geelongora yarn, developed by the British spinning mill Z. Hinchliffe & Sons. Composed of 75% Super Geelong lambswool and 25% angora, it features a lightweight, warm, and exceptionally soft knit that can be worn directly against the skin.
Knitted on a full-circle machine at gauge 8, the sweater is entirely seamless. Only the collar is sewn by hand during assembly. This construction creates a smooth, rounded drape with no visible seams between the shoulders, sleeves, back, and front, resulting in a fluid silhouette and exceptionally precise finishes.
The washing, fulling, and knitting adjustments required numerous trials to achieve the desired texture, volume, and softness. This balance also provides the excellent support and durability that characterize the Armen model.
The silver color showcases the full richness of the Geelongora yarn through a heathered gray accented with subtle pinkish hues. This depth naturally highlights the knit’s light, downy texture. A crew-neck sweater made in France, crafted with the expertise of Nitto Knitwear.
