Armen Round Neck Jumper - Charcoal
Description
The Armen charcoal crew-neck sweater is crafted in our workshop in France using Geelongora yarn, developed by the British spinning mill Z. Hinchliffe & Sons. The blend of 75% Super Geelong lambswool and 25% angora creates a lightweight, soft, and naturally voluminous knit that can be worn directly against the skin.
The garment is knitted entirely on a circular knitting machine at gauge 8, without any seams. Only the collar is sewn by hand during assembly. This technique creates a smooth, rounded drape with no breaks between the shoulders, sleeves, back, and front. The result is a fluid silhouette and exceptionally precise finishes.
To achieve this result, the knitting, washing, and fulling processes underwent numerous adjustments. This work made it possible to achieve the desired texture, volume, and softness, while maintaining the excellent structure and durability that characterize this design.
The charcoal color—a deep gray with subtle black highlights—showcases the richness of the Geelongora yarn and the knit’s light, natural fluffiness. A crew-neck sweater made in France, crafted with the expertise of Nitto Knitwear.
