Description
The Red Poppy Mix Armen crew-neck sweater is crafted in our workshop in France from a yarn developed by a British spinning mill. Made from 75% Super Geelong lambswool and 25% angora, it creates a lightweight knit that retains heat while offering remarkable softness, making it comfortable to wear directly against the skin.
Knitted on a full-circle machine at gauge 8, the sweater is seamless. Only the collar is sewn by hand during assembly. The absence of seams between the shoulders, sleeves, back, and front gives the garment a rounded drape, a continuous silhouette, and exceptionally precise finishes.
The knitting, washing, and fulling processes required numerous trials to achieve the desired texture, volume, and softness. This meticulous work also ensures the knit retains its shape and gives the sweater the durability and strength that characterize the Armen model.
The Red Poppy Mix color combines a bold red with subtle variations in shade, which enhance the yarn’s depth and highlight its fluffy texture. A crew-neck sweater made in France, in our workshop, where our craftsmanship has been passed down through three generations of knitters.
