Armen Round Neck Jumper - Pink Lipstick
Description
The Lipstick Pink Armen crew-neck sweater is made in our workshop in France using Geelongora yarn, developed by the British spinning mill Z. Hinchliffe & Sons. Composed of 75% Super Geelong lambswool and 25% angora, this yarn creates a lightweight, warm, and exceptionally soft knit that can be worn directly against the skin.
Knitted seamlessly on a circular machine at gauge 8, the sweater is knitted in one piece. Only the collar is sewn by hand during assembly. This construction creates a smooth, rounded drape with no visible seams between the shoulders, sleeves, back, and front, resulting in a fluid silhouette and exceptionally precise finishes.
Numerous adjustments to the knitting, washing, and fulling processes were necessary to achieve the desired texture, volume, and softness. This meticulous work combines the lightness of the knit with excellent structure and the durability characteristic of the Armen model.
The “Lipstick” pink color—a luminous, nuanced shade of pink—showcases the full richness of the Geelongora yarn and its light, natural fuzz. A crew-neck sweater made in France, in the same workshop since 1972, where expertise has been passed down through three generations of knitters.
