Description
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the Youri knit offers a sturdy fit thanks to its knit structure and our precise adjustments.
We created this cardigan to be a structured piece that retains its character even when worn over a T-shirt, shirt or hoodie. For the style, we took inspiration from American university cardigans from the 1960s, incorporating tubular ribbing and shoulder stripes.
For those who are paying close attention, this is the same model we created in collaboration with the MERCI boutique this winter (see the Collab page), but this time in cotton.
The Youri Collège cardigan echoes these codes: its two coloured stripes on the sleeves are reminiscent of American university culture. Knitted in a tight piqué stitch, it is soft to the touch and has a straight, structured fit.
It has two tone-on-tone pockets, knitted in the same stitch and sewn directly onto the garment for a more fluid look. Its five corozo buttons — a natural material made from palm nuts, also known as ‘vegetable ivory’ — are manufactured and dyed in France, in the Baie de Somme.
