Armen Polo - Mocha
Description
The Armen mocha polo shirt is knitted in our workshop in France using a yarn developed by the British spinning mill Z. Hinchliffe & Sons. The blend of 75% Super Geelong lambswool and 25% angora creates a lightweight, voluminous, and exceptionally soft knit that can be worn directly against the skin.
Knitted on a full-circle machine at gauge 8, the polo shirt is entirely seamless. The raglan sleeves follow the natural line of the shoulders, while the fully re-knitted polo collar requires extensive casting-on work to achieve a particularly clean and durable finish.
Two corozo buttons—a natural material derived from the nut of a palm tree—complete the design. Manufactured and dyed in France, in the Baie de Somme, by one of our long-standing partners, they meet the same exacting quality standards as the rest of the polo shirt’s construction.
The washing, fulling, and knitting adjustments required numerous trials before achieving the desired texture, volume, and softness. This process now results in a lightweight, warm, and durable knit, designed to last for many years.
The mocha color—a shade between brown and taupe—showcases the full richness of the Geelongora yarn and its light, natural fuzz. A men’s polo shirt made from Geelong lambswool and angora, Made in France, crafted in our workshop where expertise has been passed down through three generations.
